The Permaroof System can incorporate insulation for any new or re-roofing works.
Installation is quick and simple and involves fitting Planwell’s Insulation Boarding then fitting the Permaroof sheeting on top, this creates a “warm roof” system.
Warm Roof system
An Insulated “warm roof” system would normally be installed on roofs over the following…
- Houses
- Kitchens/Bathrooms
- Bedrooms
- Offices
- Garages/Workshops
- Any Roof – where avoiding condensation is essential
A “warm roof” system can be created on any new or existing roof. The main advantages of a “warm roof” are as follows…
- Insulation avoids condensation problems
- Insulation – keeps the heat into a property (saves fuel bills / saves money)
- Insulation reduces noise
- Insulation – a “warm roof” does not need to be ventilated
Important!
It is important during installation that all joints on top of the insulation boarding are “taped” to create an all in one vapour barrier (see diagram) and “T” Bars (support bars) can also be simply installed.
Insulation Details
Planwell’s Insulation Boarding is available ex-works, the standard thickness of board available is 40mm. The Board has a silver foil on both sides and sizes are 1.2m x 2.4m
Please Note
If you are installing a new roof then it may be that you require a thicker Insulation Board (depending on your Council’s “U-Value” requirements). Please contact Planwell for further detail on this or for free professional advice regarding your roof.
